i'm happy. My life is filled with many things that i have been taking for granted. Just wanna say that, im happy. I have my family. My dearest friends. and myself. I haven't got the coolest personality i know, but i love this personality i call my own. Good enough for me. :) . Was looking at the japan tsunami/quake situation and it's scary what mother nature can do if she's angry. in just one sweep, she takes away everything you've worked hard for your entire life - the car, the house, your investment. And going beyond these possessions, she has sweeped away all their excitement for the weekend or the farmer's harvests and even the hope of returning home to see your loved ones. so yeah. but though she has taken away lives this time.. She made us realise that, all these can be swept away with the mass amount of water or tremendous tremors from the earthquake, but love is something that remains unbroken. You can take a person away, but your love for him/her remains. i dont mean just romantic love, but kinship/friendship. Sometimes, the most intangible possessions are the most valuable, priceless and often, most forgotten.
Which is why, it is sad to see people giving up these relations for material possessions. They cannot see how easy it is to lose these possessions. as i was reading up on my sociology today, karl marx mentioned, "people created religion ro deal with the real misery that confronts them". This thought kept with me. Actually, its not just religion. Anything else that doesn't have anything to do with that misery (i.e happiness from wealth, work) also does that, i feel. I mean, yeah, the satisfaction of seeing your hard work pay off is really good. But its sad if your life just revolved around that. There should be more to life than just that, no? A family member's happiness? A friend's new found love? Well.. Then again, who am i to say all these? Haha.
i wanna blog proper soon. But dad recently accepted this rlly fucking big job and i had to help out ytd, today and they're opening tmr also. Seems like i'd have to dedicate my free time to them. Im already guilty enough for watching 'ghost' with the guys today. Which was why i had to go down straight after the movie. Couldn't live with the guilt.
Btw, the japanese remake of 'ghost' was rather disappointing, especially if you've seen the demi moore's. Or perhaps, i've grown up? I wasn't even close to being thrown into the whole fantasy of forever love. But the lead actor, is fucking fucking handsome and sexy. he kept wearing white shirts/ tees. Omg. Very very veryyy handsome. Ohmygosh. And the lead actress - song dao cai cai zi, this jap actress who's show i watched growing up, isss sooo pretty. I wanna be gentle like she is. Demure, gentle. Perfect love, the both of them. But sadly, i didn't even really come close to sinking into 'the rhythm of love' lol! But still nice to watch something girly. after all the manly shows i keep watching with the guys. Lol! I think patrick swayze and demi moore's version was the best! hhah.
Okay la. Gnna sleep nw. Monday prelims. Sian. And more work. Cant wait for nana's bday though gonna be mad busy. Okay la.. Ciao!
