its 4am and im waiting for the sexy xiinn to shower...

its 4am and im at the chalet waitin for xiin to shower. I just wanna remember this feeling of happinness. Like, though im extremely sleepy.. And i was supposed to be on a diet but i didnt care and just ate pasta for supper and drank full sugared coke.. I cant be anymore thankful. Was chatting with the girls for 3 hours? And so much fun setting up her 21st birthday chalet at arandas. I really hope that we can go on a holiday together. Its gonna be superrrr fun. Confirm tiring, but fun. We never run out of laughter and im thankful for the girls, as always! Xiin's family is fucking awesome and fun! Well.. So awesome. So happy. And im super thankful like mad. And nei coming over to help even though he doesnt know them? Last night he went to seto's place for mj and only slept for 3 hours.. But so glad he actually came and even helped. And very happy the girls loved him. Even xiin's mum. Sent him to the bus stop which we went to pasir ris park to pa tor, though it was super crowded. Lol. Hahaa.. Hmmmm.. He is a god send. Cant ask for more. Need to collect memories to last me for a looong time. Well.. Anyways.. I came back and the girls kept laughing but.. I know they mean well. Really glad to be able to share the joy like this. And we had ' 3 hour dialogue session. Hahahahahah. I hope they find good guys whom they love soon!! Then we can shift into the same block and eat nana's cheesecake everyday. :) thank u god or whoever gave me tonight... Thanks sooo much. :)

AWESOMELY, FANTASTICALLY, CRAZILY SHIOK SATURDAY!

BEST Saturday of 2011, i'd say. Wasn't looking very forward to it at first, i'd say.. cus i thought staying at nei's partay would be so awkward.. and i wasnt very prepared. So, woke up very bad tempered yesterday morning. cus i only had 5 hours of sleep? and we headed to the church for shimin[my cousin] and justin's wedding. only me, gerald and lorraine went for the church wedding. at first, i became really a lot better after seeing all my relatives there. and then, when the ceremony began (and of course, after alot of preaching), the moment i saw shimin walked down the aisle in that white wedding dress with her arms wrapped around uncle's arms.. omg. my heart did a little somersault. that girl there, 24 years old, the first person from OUR generation to get married.. is my cousin. my cousin is getting married. she has found the one guy who would love her, cherish her, take care of her forever.. omg. just 10 years ago, i was at her dad's goldsmith shop playing catching and masak masak with the 3 sisters. and since the closure of the goldsmith's shop, we never talked until great grandma's funeral. and we started comunicating and she is GETTING MARRIED? omg! so unreal you know?! seeing how she's going to be a mother in the future etc... cus when i see her and her sisters and in fact, people of my generation, our cousins, i always see them as my playmates.. as children. not adults. and suddenly, we are there at the church.. seeing her dad cry as he gave her away and she crying and everyone else just overwhelmed with joy and romance. hahah. sigh. i still can't believe thats shimin, in that gorgeous big and white dress.. looking soo pretty! :D the guy seems very decent, i hope they'd last. :D

random personal thought: hmmm, i used to tell people that i can't really see myself in a wedding dress.. but when i saw shimin's wedding, i feel even more that i cannot see myself exchanging vows and rings with a man, A PROPER MALE HUMAN SPECIMEN who is capable of being faithful to me, loving me FOR WHO I AM, so much so he just wants to incmergelude me into his life BIG TIME. Like part of the ceremony, they had to each hold their own candles and light up the middle one and extinguishing each of the own candles, symbolising how 2 different lives can merge as 1. And marriage (is supposedly) like the candle light which can never be seperated. how, will i be able to merge my life with another man? would any man wanna do that WITH ME? the not pretty, cant talk properly, full of nonsense shirley lim? hmm.

after the church wedding, we headed for the reception. saw more relatives and mingled around. finally talked to candice, my cousin whom i used to play with also but never spoke to for 10 years, i suppose? wow. such lovely family gathering!

so, after the church wedding, i went home, packed my stuff, showered and watched abit of tv before leaving house to nei's chalet. lol! first person i saw was seto, blowing balloons. lol! so spent 2 hours helping to blow balloons, pasted random decorations, putting up the banner, making random decoration things with sher er, nei's younger sis. lol. kept talking about o levels and stuff. then more people came and helped out. his mum is still as funny as ever! then after that, did hair and makeup, threw on my dress, left my barang in the chalet and i left for the wedding dinner at yishun. lol! [so funny cus i went to nei's hometown and he came to mine].

the wedding dinner was awesome! as usual, uncle jerry never fails to make anyone laugh! :D daddy and uncle jerry are always the highlight of any social events. takes them almost an hour just to finish mingling with the relatives. :D then cam-whored alot with lorraine and some other cousins also. saw the video montage of them and wow, suddenly, im all for believing in true love again. but nah.. still highly skeptical. got very high, especially after 3 glasses of red wine. then started talking nonsense and yum-seng-ing the loudest! hahhaha! so happy for them! for the first time, we were actually asked to go on stage to host the yum-seng thing also, but we're too shy. teehee. lol! very happy to see my relatives lor. it was worth the rushingly hectic schedule.

after the wedding dinner, i went back to the chalet. went in with anita. cake has been cut, present has been given. and they were mahjong-ing. lol. saw Sherrie [nei's elder sis] and her friend ting hui. lol. got super high. lol!! then went up to change. me and anita were thinking about what to do? should we hide in the room? should we draw? lol! then i decided to head down to change first and saw sher er playing mahjong and she needed help. so went to see see and she asked me to take her place! lol! so called anita down and we started playing mahjong with his relatives. lol! after that, the relatives left and we youngsters took the table. then ting hui brought out... VODKA! lol!! damn fucking drunk and high. i drank till i had rashes though D: bad. first time i drank until i feel my heart pump so fast and the blood just rushed through my head and i felt sooooo light headed i couldnt play mahjong. lol!!! shioook! heeee!!! then after that, everyone got too drunk to play. so we decided to cam whore with the banner. LOL! after that, v tired but me, sherrie and nei didnt plan to sleep. so nei went to play mj with his cca friends while i did abit of drawing for adeline khng. then, at about 6am, anita and tinghui slept alr.. so me and sherrie headed to the beach. then we saw the stars and decided it was too good to be missed. so headed back, took a garbage bag and laid it on the cold sand while we just sat and chatted about.. things. then we caught the sunrise and walao, seriously, sherrie is one of the most funniest, most enthusiastic people i know. AWESOME! need to hang out with people like her more to absorb the positivity!! hahahha!

yeah. then i headed back and was toooooo tired. i slept for an hour and woke up to attend to the catering man who came to collect the trays. was so tired that i just stared into space. then waited for nei's dad to come and check us out. cabbed back with anita. lol! SIGH! the fun is over and its going to be monday...tiring but very very satisfying. :D especially seeing so many people enjoy and knowing i contributed a lot to this.. :D but.. NEXT WEEKENDS!! bro's and aunt's bday celebration and chantel's housewarming/ birthday celebrations! WOOOOOO! but seriously, im so fucking sleepy now. oh man. and i cant sleep now cus if i do, i cant sleep tonight! :( shall liar game 2! x: wooooooo!

Love yourself first.

Yes, the blog bug has bitten me and whenever i turn the laptop on and with so much emotions brimming out of me, i just cannot not blog.

After watching the movie [despite that from the last blogpost to now, i have been busy gossiping, getting excited about buying OPI's Crackle, listening to jokes on 987fm.. i am still feeling the sadness.], i still can't believe that it was based on a true story. how sad a life Max and Mary led. but they all learnt lessons through the mistakes they made in their lives.

Right now, i am really happy with who i am. My friends wise- i would never have imagined having such active social life in uni the same time last year. not active, but with only a few good friends on hand, its more than enough. plus i have my sec school friends leh! emma, xiin, nana, morgan, fartsie. and poly friends - nei, martin, anita, ade tan, hong choo, ade khng, and last but not least, enrique iglesias [most impt liao]. and somemore, i'd dare say they're in my primary layer in my social group eh. so yeah. i can't ask for more.

In terms of family, currently is peace. no fights. parents seems fine with my behavior. parents okay with each other. they're okay with bro. bro okay with them. no health issues. all good.

In terms of relationship, well. i honestly don't crave to date or whatsoever. got another fb private message from this guy. i straightaway deleted. not now. i have too much on my hand already. and right now, im not willing to date anyone outside my social circle. it has to be good friends or above if i wanna begin anything. so yeah. well, i wanna protect myself. and i believe thats part of loving oneself. afterall, many mistakes regretted in adulthood are actually made during youth.

In terms of studies, i don't know all my prelims results. but im rather satisfied with MA - 58. cus in my books, 50% is still the passing mark although technically, 34% is the pass. though i have been very very very lazy and not studying for the WHOLE of this week, i had a lot of fun. resting at home, watching all the shows i wanted, buying all the makeup i needed, going to K with derrick, going to watch movie, hanging out with bro and his friend, dinnering with fam.. so yeah. i will study hard already la. since anyway tmr is intensive revision.

so apart from my messed up room/wardrobe, most of my life is v well-sorted now. i am gonna count my blessings now and try to not take all these for granted. because now.. i feel really great about life. i wished it would sustain but from previous experience, at this point of time, it just means that my life is going to go off-balance soon but i don't know which aspect. so yeah..

Rustic Saturday

it has been such a fantastically wonderful saturday. Best i've had in a while. Woke up at about 8am today cus uncle jerry has arranged to pick us up at 8.30am. So he came while i shitted halfway. Then we headed for jalan kayu roti prata for breakfast. Mmmmmm. I haven't had that since i lived in hougang! Then he drove us to seletar airport. Its closing from public soon and uncle jerry is an instructor pilot. So he sent us there for my bro to take pictures for us. Well, i loveeee the country side feeling. I didn't feel that i was in singapore at all. Could see the planes take off and land right in front of me. We stood on a little hill, under the gorgeous weather with the beautiful sun. Then he showed us around the dorms, showed us where they did the planes. Very different saturday. And he showed us where the good buffalo wings were. It was damn rustic, the whole countryside feel. Then we were at upper seletar area and looked at the ships.soooo lovely with the sun shining and the breeze blowing with ocassional planes taking off.. Mmmmmm. That was the life.

We then headed to farmhouse avenue where there were all kinds of farm hidden behind jungles that i would never have thought to explore. And we just drove up to farmhouse avenue which had rocky roads and really looked like we were in those old kampong places in indonesia or malaysia. Then we headed to this mushroom farm where they cultivated all kinds of shroom.. Oyster, shitake.. We ended up buying this mushroom snacks where its like potato chips but made of shitake mushrooms. v nice. And the people there were sooo friendly. so unlike
city-stayers. We chatted with the owner as though they were our old friend. About mushrooms, about cooking.. So heartwarming eh.

Then we went to the other side of singapore, at cck to look at pottery. Cus we were invited to auntie pauline's housewarming. So we were taked to buy the gifts. Went into this pottery factory called 'thow kwang industry' at lorong tawas. Very serene place. They taught pottery there and had many many many pots and beautifully handmade vases, cockery, ornaments. They were the ones that made the cockery in 'little nonya' ahhaha. Also, people were there learning about pottery. And we saw this lady making a statue of her daughter. The teacher spoke to us and told us that they light the khin on the 25th of jan and there would be a party going on where people made music and just bring food as potluck. I wished uncle jerry will still be in singapore cus i would love to go eh.. But i'll feel weird. Loads of mosquitos though. So after choosing about 1 hour, we decided on this 28 piece cockery set for auntie pauline. very intricate and very nicelyy designed. And only $100 for the entire set. Plus the service was like to an old friend kind of treatment.

After that, being the Lims, we all have very good stomach for good food. So uncle jerry wanted to take us to this nasi lemak kukus for lunch. But it was closed. So decided to go... Union farm to eat zhi bao ji. we ordered bee hoon, vinegar pig trotters, 15 zhi bao ji, tofu and vegggies. So yummy. We didnt care about calories and just 'sup' uh! As we would say.. As we chatted with uncle jerry and auntie jessie. After that, we went home to rest before the housewarming. i did abit of studying and rested the whole afternoon away. Then we dressed up and went to punggol. Omg. Passed by my old house and do i miss it! Also passed by my old primary school which is now don't know what. But the structure's still there. It sent shivers down my spine. Went there and well, loads of good food again. Mee siam, tea leaves eggs, red bean soup, stewed chicken, salad.. Mmmmm. Loved the tea leave eggs. After that, played pictionary with the cousins. Our age range between 14 to 25. We weren't close 2 years ago.. But after last year's cny gathering, we just got really much closer and we played pictionary. Loads of fun! Shimin's getting married is still v weird to me. Sooo... Weird and adult-ish. our family tree is v messy. This is my dad's side. Or rather, my dad's mum's younger sister's family. They have quite a lot of children there. they used to have a gold smith shop at bedok before running into financial crisis and had to sell it. Back in the gold smith shop days, i was really v close with them. But after they sold the gold smith shop about the time i went to secondary school, we totally never even contact at all. Until last year's chinese new year and in 2009 my great grandma's funeral and because of facebook.. That we kept in touch again. So it was kinda a reunion thing. V fun. Loved playing with them. Hahahaha. Had an awesome time. Okay la, gonna shower then sleep. Tmr wanna jog before gg to mug with alb at ssc. Byeeeeeeeeee.

P/s: i totally felt like a wanderluster today. Didn't know i could be one even in tiny singapore. Must remember the bus no. 103. I would love to visit there again. Perhaps with friends? Haahhaha. Awesomeee day todayyy!!
